Diagnostics And Checkups
Total Diagnostic Programme
A total diagnostic programme consists of a comprehensive internal examination including all laboratory blood and microbiological tests, an ECG (electrocardiogram) test, X-rays, and in some cases also computer tomography (CT). This is followed by a complete and detailed assessment of the results within the context of your family medical history by a diagnostic physician.
A second round involves more detailed examinations focusing on one or more specific health problems, for example the cardiovascular system, the nervous system, the muscular and skeletal system (sports diagnostics), the lungs and respiratory system, endocrine, gynaecological, urological, or optical exams. An important part of the exam is a body mass index (BMI) measurement, which helps assess the patient’s risk of obesity.
- check-up duration: various
- total anaesthetic: no
- hospitalization: usually without hospitalization
Diagnostic facilities have modern equipment such as computer tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, X-ray, and other facilities as standard equipment.
“Personalized medicine” based on a genetic analysis has become very popular in the diagnosis of illnesses such as thrombophilia, coeliac disease, lactose intolerance, ankylosing spondylitis, and others. These sophisticated diagnoses are performed in specialized laboratories and clinics, which will be searched out by the agency of your choice according to your requirements.
Second opinion
Diagnostics can also include a second opinion regarding a specific proposed medical procedure or therapy that is already in progress, including possible complications. In this case, a diagnosis has already been made (for example a diagnosis the client already received in his home country), and wants a second opinion. The client can thus assure himself that his treatment is proceeding correctly, or can decide on the most suitable course.
